Burkina Faso Defence Attaché visits MMI

Col Gilbert OUEDRAOGO, the Defence Attaché to the Embassy of Burkina Faso, permanent Mission to African Union and East Central Africa, who was in the Country for a working visit, today paid a courtesy call on the Director General of Military Medical Insurance (MMI), Lt col Dr Jean Paul BITEGA at MMI Headquarters.

The Military attaché who arrived while accompanied by Lt Col Ndore RULINDA from The Rwanda Defence Forces Military attaché to Ethiopia, further explained that the purpose of his visit was to learn from experience and best practices from main RDF and Police institutions that deal with the Welfare of their members like MMI, Zigama- CSS and Horizon just to mention but a few.

After bilateral discussions the Guest said that what is happening in Rwanda in general and the Defence Forces in particular as portrayed by the Director General –MMI as well as other Officials He had met, should serve as a lesson, particularly for Africa that such tremendous efforts always bear fruits once a country has a strong Leadership.

“I may say that facilities like these serve multiple purposes ; and We are looking at building bilateral networks so as to transfer the same models in order to strengthen our existing Social economical schemes in Burkina Faso Armed forces.
